It’s been a while since we last looked at Dreams, but the community is still actively creating content for the PS4 game.
This week, a talented Dream creator named Eupholace released Banjo-Kazooie: Mumbomania, a fantastic fan-made 3D platformer.
This game is a brief but polished 3D platformer starring the popular characters from Rare’s classic series. It includes many of the moves players will remember from the original games.
What’s really cool about this game is Mumbo Jumbo – he can turn Banjo into all sorts of things! Like, he can shrink him down into a tiny rock to get into small spaces, or even turn him into a cannon to blast you up to places you couldn’t reach before. It’s such a fun way to explore!
You can also control a cursor using the motion sensors in your controller. This lets Mumbo collect items or briefly stun enemies.
The game has everything you’d expect from a Banjo-Kazooie title: tons of items to collect like Jiggies and musical notes, funny, made-up character voices, and googly eyes on practically everything!
Despite its short playtime of about an hour or two, this game offers a lot of features and feels great to play. If you’re a Banjo-Kazooie fan needing a nostalgic experience, it’s definitely worth checking out.
We don’t know if Xbox will ever make a new Banjo-Kazooie game, but this shows how much people still love the original.
Eupholace, the person who made this game, previously created Trip’s Voyage, a highly-regarded game still popular within the Dreams community. Like Trip’s Voyage, this new game is a 3D platformer, drawing inspiration from classic titles such as Mario and Banjo.
I’m so excited about Banjo-Kazooie: Mumbomania coming to Dreams on PlayStation! I’m definitely planning on checking it out, and I’m really curious to hear if anyone else is too. Let me know in the comments if you’re going to give it a try!
