Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds free character updates Red, Goro Majima, and Arle announced

Okay, so SEGA just dropped some awesome news for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds! They’re adding a bunch of new characters as part of their big “Patch 3” update. I’m super excited because they’re bringing in Red from Angry Birds, Goro Majima from Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, and even Arle from Puyo Puyo! It’s gonna be wild racing with such a crazy mix of characters.

The full list of upcoming free content is as follows:

  • Red (April 2026)
    • Red from Angry Birds as a playable character
    • Super Roaster vehicle
  • Goro Majima (Captain Majima) (April 2026)
    • Goro Majima (Captain Majima) as a playable character
    • Goromaru vehicle
  • Arle (May 2026)
    • Arle from Puyo Puyo as a playable character
    • Twinkle Bayoen vehicle

Eight new songs are also coming to the in-game jukebox, including:

  • “MAGICAL SOUND SHOWER” by Hiro (from Out Run)
  • “Let’s Go Away” by Takenobu Mitsuyoshi (from Daytona USA)
  • “Soul on Desert” by Jun Senoue (from SEGA Rally 2)
  • “Like The Wind (B Course) Arcade Version” by Hiro (from Power Drift)
  • “Outside a Crisis” by SEGA (Katsuhiro “Funky K.H” Hayashi) (from Super Hang-on)
  • “Main Theme (Enduro Racer)” by Hiro (from Enduro Racer)
  • “God Only Knows” by A-One
  • “Like the Wind (Reborn)” by Sampling Masters MEGA (from Power Drift)

You can now play Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
