Beginning next month, Sega is organizing a trial run of the upcoming game Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. This test network will take place from August 28th at 9 PM Pacific Time until September 1st at the same time. The game will be accessible on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch during this period.
During the network trial, players can team up daily for online matches in World Match. However, on August 31st, there’s a special exception called Joker Festival, which seems to revolve around the main character from Persona 5. Regrettably, specifics about this event are scarce. Meanwhile, Grand Prix and Time Trial will be accessible as offline game modes throughout the entire trial period.
Regrettably, split-screen multiplayer isn’t available, and there won’t be any transfer of saved data to the game. However, you can enjoy the array of Gadgets, vehicle customization options, and portal mechanics quite nicely (and without needing Nintendo Switch Online or PlayStation Plus for multiplayer). “The game titled ‘Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds’ is set to release on September 25th across platforms including Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Additionally, it will become available later this year specifically for the Switch 2.”
