In the third installment of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie series, titled Sonic the Hedgehog 3, an impressive ensemble of actors was introduced. This includes Krysten Ritter from Jessica Jones, Keanu Reeves known for his role in John Wick, and Alyla Browne, famed from Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. The fact that Reeves and Jim Carrey are both part of this film is quite significant, reflecting the considerable influence video game franchises have on entertainment. Interestingly, Cristo Fernández, a cast member in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, mentioned that he didn’t get many opportunities to work alongside his co-stars on set, even Jim Carrey who plays Dr. Robotnik.
In “Venom: The Last Dance,” the actor played a minor part, depicting Pablo/Juan in Dr. Ivo Robotnik’s telenovela fixation called “La Última Pasión.” Since Fernández worked only with Sofia Pernas from “The Young and the Restless,” it means he didn’t interact with other stars of the movie, “Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Star Cristo Fernández Hasn’t Met the Rest of the Cast Yet
During a chat with ComicBook, the actor from Ted Lasso expresses his enthusiasm and respect upon discovering that Jim Carrey was watching him act on-screen.
He said, ‘It’s as if Jim Carrey’s enthusiasm for my humor is what I feel when I watch his comedy.’ Growing up, I found immense inspiration in Jim Carrey’s comedies. He’s been a role model for me since childhood. Whenever I recall my favorite comedies, they are often filled with…his performances. I believe he influenced me significantly, shaping my humor and the way I approach jokes. Acting wasn’t something I initially envisioned myself doing. However, I can trace some of my humor back to him, appreciate his physicality, and admire his unconventional energy – a crazy man in a good sense. That’s why he has been such an inspiration for me, and though we didn’t work together on set, I feel like he’s watching over me on the screen.
Fernandez goes on discussing his eagerness to interact with Jim Carrey shortly and recognizes that the actor’s awareness of him has significantly impacted his life. His affection for the star deepens even more as Fernandez converses with Chris Killian from Comicbook.com about another Sonic the Hedgehog 3 cast member he dreams of encountering someday.
Fernández admits to not interacting with the cast, given his filmed portion was done separately.
As a die-hard fan, I must confess that I’ve yet to cross paths with Keanu Reeves, but my heart yearns for that day. He truly is a hero in many ways. To be honest, I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting any of the team behind the scenes… But let me tell you, when Jeff Fowler handed me this opportunity, it felt like a dream come true. Truly, it was a moment that meant the world to me. I eagerly look forward to the day when I can meet them all.
Although Cristo Fernández hasn’t yet had the pleasure of meeting his fellow actors, it’s clear that they would identify him by his role as Dani Royas. We’re eagerly anticipating his potential return for Season 4 of Ted Lasso. This actor has made a name for himself in some of the most prominent film franchises in Hollywood, appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and Venom: The Last Dance.
