If you liked the recent DC x Sonic the Hedgehog comic series, you’ll probably love this new crossover from IDW.
Sonic the Hedgehog is about to face his greatest challenge yet: a showdown with Godzilla! This epic battle will be brought to life in a new story written by Nick Marino (known for Godzilla Rivals) and illustrated by Jack Lawrence, who has worked on Sonic the Hedgehog comics.
The game is scheduled for release this summer, and the developers are currently being tight-lipped about the story details. However, in an interview with IGN, they revealed that the game draws heavy inspiration from Sonic Adventure, particularly the open-world hub area known as Station Square.
Okay, so things are already crazy with these giant monsters showing up, but get this – Dr. Eggman is back too! He’s not causing the monster problems, but he’s totally using all the chaos to try and get away with his own evil schemes. It’s like he’s taking advantage of the situation, which, honestly, is so Eggman.
I just saw a sneak peek on IGN of some of the different cover options for the first issue of this comic! It’s coming out later this summer, and pre-orders are starting to pop up on a bunch of comic book websites right now. Looks like more places will start taking pre-orders as we get closer to the release date.
