Sophia Bush Reacts to Ashlyn Harris Wearing Jockstrap at Oscars Party

A former professional soccer goalie took inspiration from the characters in Heated Rivalry when choosing her outfit for a date night with Sophia Bush at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars Viewing Party.

Ashlyn revealed on the red carpet at a recent event that she’s completely focused on a competitive situation, jokingly admitting she even wore a supportive athletic cup to show her support for the people involved.

Sophia loved Ashlyn’s look, describing her as confidently blending into the group while still embracing her femininity. Ashlyn confirmed this, saying she intentionally aimed for that androgynous vibe.

Though not visible, Ashlyn Harris wore a jockstrap under her outfit. For the event, the host of the Wide Open with Ashlyn Harris podcast paired a white suit with an open, oversized blazer over a black lace bralette. Sophia chose a sparkling gold strapless gown.

This couple has been very open about their relationship since they started dating in late 2023, and Ashlyn has mentioned that transparency is a reason people are interested in them.

I think she’s incredibly intelligent, and I find that really attractive. It’s funny because we’re total opposites – she’s creative and artistic, while I’m more of an athlete. We have very different backgrounds and personalities, but we’re both deeply caring and affectionate people. She inspires me to be a better person, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be with her.

I’m completely smitten! Honestly, she’s the most brilliant person I know, and it’s incredibly attractive how different we are. I always tease her about being a total intellectual – she grew up doing theater, and is wonderfully creative – while I’m more of an athletic, free-spirited type. But beyond those differences, we connect on a really deep level. We’re both incredibly empathetic, giving people, and we just get each other. She inspires me to be a better version of myself every single day, and I truly feel like the luckiest person in the world.
