The year 2026 will begin with the release of “Steal,” a fast-paced, modern thriller centered around a massive heist.
Sophie Turner, known for her roles in “Game of Thrones,” “Joan,” and “X-Men: Dark Phoenix,” stars in the new Prime Video series as Zara. She’s an ordinary office worker whose life is turned upside down when a dangerous gang takes over her workplace. Zara and her close friend, Luke (played by Archie Madekwe from “Saltburn”), are then forced to do whatever the gang demands.
But who is responsible for stealing “billions of pounds from ordinary people’s pensions – and why?”
That is the mystery DCI Rhys (Bodies’ Jacob Fortune-Lloyd) must solve – and fast.
The story follows a man battling a return to gambling addiction. He has to conceal his financial difficulties while also dealing with hidden motives and conflicting goals within a large criminal network, according to an official description.

The new six-episode series will be available to stream all at once on Wednesday, January 21st. It’s written by first-time screenwriter SA Nikias, and directed by Sam Miller (known for shows like I May Destroy You and Black Mirror) and Hettie Macdonald (Normal People, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry).
Vernon Sanders, who leads television at Amazon MGM Studios, has called the series – originally known as Haven – a truly exciting and captivating story that viewers will find gripping and hard to stop watching (according to Deadline).
Rebecca de Souza and Greg Brenman from Drama Republic (known for shows like Doctor Foster and Netflix’s One Day) were very impressed with the script. They praised its exciting, suspenseful, and humorous writing, noting that it has drawn a fantastic cast and crew.
