Sophie Turner doesn’t have time for anything serious at the moment. 

I’ve been following the news about Sophie Turner, and it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster! After reports surfaced a couple of months ago that she was dating Chris Martin, she recently hinted in an interview that she’s actually single. It’s definitely surprising, and I’m curious to learn what’s going on.

She told Net-A-Porter on January 5th that it’s been weeks, even months, since she last saw her friends or went on a date. She admitted to sometimes neglecting parts of her life, explaining that she currently only has the energy for work and family. However, she’s actively trying to change that and hopes to find more balance soon.

Sophie, who shares two daughters – 5-year-old Willa and 3-year-old Delphine – with her ex-husband Joe Jonas, has expressed frustration with the intense public attention, particularly following their split in 2023.

She observed that people readily accept information as truth these days. Whenever a new article appears, many assume it’s accurate without question. This creates a difficult situation – speaking up feels impossible because remaining silent is often seen as the best way to avoid conflict. However, that silence also leaves people feeling powerless and ashamed, unable to defend themselves.

Sophie, who recently dated Peregrine Pearson, has expressed sadness about how these reports are impacting her relationships with family and friends, assuming the stories are true.

She explained that her mother would call, shocked by things she was hearing. She’d respond by saying that even if those things were true, she wasn’t prepared to share them with her mother, or anyone else. It felt like she didn’t control how her own life story was being told.

Chris has also found himself getting a lot of attention regarding his relationships since his split from Dakota Johnson in June, after dating for almost eight years.

Chris Martin, who shares two children – Apple, 21, and Moses, 19 – with his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, and Dakota Johnson haven’t publicly commented on their split. However, Dakota did confirm she’s single after playfully describing her ideal partner in a June interview with Today while promoting her film The Materialists, saying she simply wants someone who isn’t a jerk.

Only a few weeks after confirming her divorce from Joe Jonas in September 2023, actress Sophie Turner seemed to be moving on. She was spotted enjoying a night out with her friend Taylor Swift in New York City.

Oh my gosh, when Sophie and Joe announced their divorce, it quickly turned messy! I was obsessed with following every detail, and it was heartbreaking to see Sophie file a lawsuit just to get their precious daughters, Willa and Delphine, back to England! Joe’s team tried to downplay it, calling the lawsuit totally misleading, but thankfully, they managed to come to a temporary agreement a few months later in October. I was so relieved, even though the whole thing was just… a lot.

Later that month, Sophie hinted at starting a new romance and began a fresh phase in her life.

She started dating British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson, and photos surfaced of them showing affection during a trip to Paris.

In January 2024, Sophie announced she was starting the new year with a fresh outlook. She described the previous year as a fun time with friends, but predicted the year ahead would be more stable and predictable.

By spring 2024, the mom of two had left her drama with Joe behind.

She expressed sadness about how things unfolded, particularly for her children, telling British Vogue in May 2024 that they are the ones most affected. However, she believes everyone is trying their best and remains hopeful they can resolve the situation. She emphasized that Joe is a wonderful father, and that’s her priority.

In September 2024, Sophie and Joe finalized their divorce. 

Joe mentioned that he and Sophie have become friends and are successfully co-parenting their daughters together.
