Xbox Game Studios and Compulsion Games have announced that the PlayStation 5 version of their action-adventure game, South of Midnight, will be available on March 31st.
The game South of Midnight became available on Xbox Series and PC (through Steam and the Microsoft Store) on April 8, 2025. A version for the Switch 2 is planned for release this spring.
The “Weaver’s Edition” of the game includes the following content:
- A copy of the game
- Official art book
- Original Soundtrack composed by Olivier Deriviere
- The Boo-Hag Comic book by Rob Guillory
- Music Video: “Songs & Tales of South of Midnight“
- Documentary: “Weaving Hazel’s Journey, Director’s Cut”

Okay, so the team behind games like Contrast and We Happy Few just announced their new game, and it looks amazing! It’s called South of Midnight, and it’s a third-person action-adventure set way down in the American Deep South. I’m already hooked just from the initial look!
I play as Hazel, and let me tell you, this game throws you right into a seriously creepy and cool world based on Southern folklore. When something terrible happens in her town, Hazel discovers she’s a Weaver – basically, someone who can magically fix broken connections and spirits. It’s up to me to use these powers to take down some really dangerous creatures, and while I’m at it, I’m digging into my family’s complicated history.
