Shiro Games has announced that their massive multiplayer space game, SpaceCraft, will be available on Steam for PC in Early Access starting May 20th.
According to Shiro Games CEO Nicolas Cannasse, SpaceCraft lets players build and influence a constantly evolving universe however they choose. He explained in a press release that whether players concentrate on building industries, trading goods, or discovering new worlds, their actions will impact the game’s overall environment when the Early Access phase launches next month.
Here is an overview of the game, via Shiro Games:
Explore a huge, connected universe filled with star systems. You can travel effortlessly between flying through space and landing on planets. Forge your own destiny as you discover new worlds and use incredibly fast travel to reach distant stars.
Explore planets and asteroid fields to find useful materials. Then, extract, process, and convert those materials into upgrades for your spaceship. You can also trade or sell these resources to other players, and carefully manage your production and supply chains to expand your business.
I’m starting out building a little base, but the goal is to become a huge industrial power! I’ll be setting up bases on different planets, automating everything with production lines, and sending out drones and ships to grab resources from all over the place. Basically, I need to make things super efficient and expand my network so I can control the entire supply chain across the galaxy. It’s all about optimizing and scaling up!
Team up with other players by creating or joining Corporations to work together on big projects, share responsibilities, and coordinate efforts. You can accept contracts, improve your ships with upgrades, and become an expert in moving goods across the galaxy to beat out the competition. Or, if you prefer, you can choose to play the game on your own.
