Quantic Dream, the team behind popular story-driven games, has announced their new competitive multiplayer game, Spellcasters Chronicles. It’s a free-to-play game for PC where players team up as Spellcasters and compete in 3v3 battles. You can watch the first trailer below.
Battles center around powerful spells, but you’ll also lead large armies with creatures like dragons, ogres, and skeletons. Each character can be customized to play a unique role by building a deck of over 50 different spells and summons. You can also gain control of massive Titans and shape the battlefield by building structures.
Like many free-to-play games, *Spellcasters Chronicles* will feature seasonal updates with choices that affect both the story and how you play. While there’s no release date yet, you can sign up for the closed beta on Steam, which starts before the end of the year.
Good news for fans of Quantic Dream’s story-driven games: Star Wars Eclipse is still being made. The developers are excited to share more details, but haven’t announced a release date or shown any gameplay yet.
