The next Spider-Man movie, currently titled Spider-Man 4 or Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is coming to US theaters this July. Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi, is directing, and Tom Holland will be back as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, continuing his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
What did Destin Daniel Cretton say about Spider-Man 4?
In an interview with Who Let Us Out, director Chris Cretton offered a small update on Spider-Man 4. He admitted he couldn’t reveal much about the film, but said he believes the storyline, which will be based on the ‘Brand New Day’ comic arc, is something audiences will easily connect with.
The movie continues the emotional journey of the last one, and we’re seeing Peter Parker go through a really relatable life stage – figuring out what comes next. That’s all I can reveal right now, but you won’t have to wait long to find out more.
Official plot details for Spider-Man: Brand New Day remain under wraps at this time.
Alongside Tom Holland, the movie will feature Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Michael Mando as Scorpion, and Marvin Jones III as Tombstone. Sadie Sink (from Stranger Things), Liza Colón-Zayas (from The Bear), and Tramell Tillman (from Severance) have also joined the cast in currently unknown roles, sparking lots of online guesses about their characters.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives on July 31, 2026.
