It looks like the first trailer for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse might be coming soon! After a long wait, people involved with the Spider-Verse films have suggested a trailer is on the way, which could be great news for Sony’s Spider-Man movies.
After the huge success of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, fans are eagerly awaiting the next film and paying close attention to every detail. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse continues Miles Morales’ story right after the last movie ended on a cliffhanger, leaving him stuck in another universe.
This movie is the final installment in the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse series, uniting various Spider-People to wrap up the ongoing story about the multiverse. Given the high expectations for the film, when the first trailer is released could be almost as significant as what’s shown in it.
Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse’s Latest Teases Make It All The More Likely A Trailer Will Tie In With Brand New Day’s Release
Recent comments by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have sparked renewed interest in when we might see the first trailer for Beyond the Spider-Verse. In an interview with TechRadar, they didn’t give a specific date, but their answers hinted that an announcement could be coming soon.
Miller admitted they don’t know exactly when the trailer will be released, and Lord playfully hinted it’s coming “soon…ish.” This vague communication suggests a carefully planned marketing strategy, as studios often time big announcements to coincide with other major releases, particularly if they think the same audiences will be interested in both.
Given the timing, it seems likely Sony is planning to release the first look at this project alongside the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The way Lord and Miller have been talking actually hints at building excitement, not reducing it, which supports this idea.
The trailer’s release seems to be part of a larger plan. If so, it might not just be promoting the movie Beyond the Spider-Verse, but also aiming to get attention alongside another big film that’s coming out.
Why Tying An Early Look At Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse To The MCU Could Be Perfect Timing Wise
As a huge Spider-Man fan, I thought it was a brilliant move to release the first trailer for Beyond the Spider-Verse alongside Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Spider-Man is such a popular character, and keeping the excitement going with both the live-action and animated films is a win for everyone – the studios, the creators, and especially us fans! It just feels like a smart way to keep the Spider-Man universe thriving.
Releasing new footage then would let Sony take full advantage of when fans are most excited, keeping the buzz going from one Spider-Man movie to the next. This would also keep Spider-Man consistently in the spotlight, building anticipation for future team-up movies and even bigger Marvel Cinematic Universe events.
If rumors are true and Brand New Day is the final Spider-Man movie Sony makes within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, using it to advertise Beyond the Spider-Verse would help establish Sony’s own Spider-Man universe. This would generate excitement for their future plans and keep audiences engaged with Spider-Man, even after Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is released.
