There was a lot of talk about the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day coming out in January or February, but it hasn’t been released yet. Recent reports suggest the trailer is still some time away, and this delay might actually help the movie become even more successful. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to be a major Marvel Cinematic Universe release, possibly the biggest since Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film will show what happens to Peter Parker after Doctor Strange’s spell caused everyone to forget him.
Recent reports indicate the first teaser trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now expected in March. This is a delay from earlier predictions. While rumors, like one shared by @Cryptic4KQual on X, point to a March release, a specific date hasn’t been announced.
Some fans are disappointed that Sony and Marvel delayed the trailer for Brand New Day. But it looks like the companies are using a similar strategy to the one they employed with No Way Home, which turned out to be a huge hit.
As a big Spider-Man fan, I remember when the first teaser for No Way Home dropped on August 23, 2021 – it felt like forever until the movie finally hit theaters in December! Now, if the teaser for Brand New Day arrives around March, it’ll follow a similar pattern, giving us about four months to wait before the film is released on July 16, 2026. It’s cool to see they’re planning the marketing rollout in a similar timeframe.
As we’ve already discussed, No Way Home was a massive financial hit, earning almost $2 billion globally. While bringing back Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire definitely boosted its popularity, the film would have been incredibly successful even without them.
Okay, let me tell you, the way they handled the marketing for No Way Home was brilliant. Dropping the first teaser so close to the release date was a masterstroke. It instantly got fans hyped, and honestly, we didn’t have a chance to breathe between that first look, the subsequent trailers, and finally, the movie itself! It kept the excitement constantly building – a really smart move that clearly paid off.
If the first look at Brand New Day arrives in March, viewers can expect a similar pattern. There will be a lot of excitement building around short clips for weeks, and right when that excitement starts to fade, Marvel and Sony will drop the full trailer. With the movie only a few weeks away after that, the buzz will likely stay strong all the way up to release.
Will Spider-Man: Brand New Day Be as Successful as No Way Home?

It’s going to be tough for the new Spider-Man movie to earn as much money as No Way Home. No Way Home had a huge advantage with its cast, bringing back popular actors like Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and villains such as Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Thomas Haden Church as Sandman, and Rhys Ifans as the Lizard.
Despite its fresh start, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will feature some familiar faces. Notably, Mark Ruffalo returns as the Savage Hulk for the first time since Avengers: Infinity War, and Jon Bernthal will share the screen with Spider-Man as his character, Frank Castle, also known as the Punisher.
Sadie Sink is joining the cast, and fans are really excited to find out which Marvel character she’ll be playing.
Sony and Marvel might have more surprises planned, which could help Brand New Day stay popular in theaters for a long time and continue earning strong box office numbers for weeks to come.
While Brand New Day probably won’t earn as much as No Way Home, it’s still a Spider-Man movie with plenty of other Marvel characters, so it’s likely to make over $1 billion at the box office.
