A new fan-made artwork imagines a team-up between Spider-Man and Daredevil in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Fans are excited to see Charlie Cox, who previously played Daredevil in the Netflix series The Defenders, now part of the main MCU. He made his official return as Peter Parker’s lawyer in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, and this suggests the two heroes could continue working together in future Marvel movies.
Considering the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home and the fact that Wilson Fisk’s Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) currently controls New York, it’s logical that Daredevil could appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Recent fan art from Instagram user @spdrmnkyxxiii depicts Peter Parker and Matt Murdock, sporting his new black suit, facing off against mysterious enemies. While Charlie Cox has previously stated he isn’t involved, rumors about Daredevil’s appearance in Brand New Day continue, and it’s still possible we could see the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.
What Role Could Daredevil Have in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

In early 2025, the series Daredevil: Born Again brought Matt Murdock’s solo adventures to the main Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first season focused on Wilson Fisk winning the mayoral election of New York City and using his power to ban vigilantes and create a task force to stop them. This new law will affect many heroes, not just Daredevil – who will face the consequences in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again in 2026 – as New York is home to several other heroes, like Spider-Man.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is starting to adapt the 2021 comic storyline Devil’s Reign, which could bring together a lot of New York’s heroes in future projects. We know Krysten Ritter will reprise her role as Jessica Jones alongside Daredevil in season 2 of Born Again, and it would be fantastic to see Spider-Man team up with Daredevil as well. Frank Castle, also known as the Punisher (played by Jon Bernthal), is set to appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day after appearing in Born Again season 2 and his own standalone presentation. This suggests Brand New Day might continue the story started in Devil’s Reign.
Given the direction of the Spider-Man stories, it would be a great fit to see Matt Murdock (Daredevil) appear with Peter Parker in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day film. While we don’t have many details about Destin Daniel Cretton’s Spider-Man sequel yet, the impressive cast – including Tom Holland, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and others – suggests a very exciting story for Spider-Man, who is currently operating in secret. Imagine how fantastic it would be to see Daredevil play a role! It could open up possibilities for both characters to team up in many future Marvel Cinematic Universe adventures.
