Spider-Man is Marvel’s most popular and recognizable hero, and it’s natural to see him team up with other heroes to fight crime. In fact, the comic series Marvel Team-Up (1972), which focused on Spider-Man partnering with different heroes, ran for an impressive 150 issues over thirteen years! Fans love seeing Spider-Man work with their other favorite characters, and he’s fought alongside almost everyone in the Marvel universe. However, some team-ups have been more successful and memorable than others.
Spider-Man has teamed up with many heroes, but some pairings just work better than others – whether they’re instant friends or have a playfully competitive relationship. We’re ranking seven of Spider-Man’s best partners, and it was a tough choice! Many other heroes could have made the list, but these seven have the strongest and most engaging dynamic with our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Let’s jump right in and see who made the cut!
7) Doctor Strange

Peter Parker and Doctor Strange might not seem like natural friends, and they wouldn’t necessarily choose to spend time together. However, they make a surprisingly effective team. Strange relies on Spider-Man for practical help with magical tasks, and Spider-Man always delivers. They consistently work together and have repeatedly saved each other from danger. While they’re a reliable and supportive duo, their relationship lacks the deeper emotional bond seen in other partnerships.
6) Captain America

Captain America and Spider-Man are two of Marvel’s most admired heroes. Captain America, Steve Rogers, is a role model for many, and Spider-Man is a huge fan. Initially, their collaborations were based on Spider-Man’s admiration for Captain America, but their relationship grew into one of equal respect. They both came to see the other as the ideal hero. They are incredibly skilled and work together seamlessly. Spider-Man helps Captain America show his more relatable side, which can sometimes be overshadowed by his legendary status, and Captain America values having a trustworthy friend by his side.
5) Human Torch

As a huge Marvel fan, I’ve always loved the dynamic between Johnny Storm and Peter Parker. They’re best friends, even though it totally looks like they can’t stand each other half the time! They started off as rivals – you know, being the first teenage superheroes and total opposites. Johnny’s this hothead, and Peter’s always been the smart, slightly awkward one. But over time, they really clicked. Seriously, they’re one of Marvel’s funniest pairings, and any comic they’re both in is instantly better. They just bring so much humor and heart, and honestly, they show what a real friendship is all about.
4) Black Cat

Whether you consider her a true hero or not, Felicia Hardy (Black Cat) has been a strong ally to Spider-Man for years, making her deserving of recognition. Their relationship is complicated – sometimes romantic, but always a friendship – and they consistently support each other through thick and thin. They’re known for their playful back-and-forth, and despite occasional romantic ups and downs, their deep care for each other is clear. They’d literally fight for each other, which shows a powerful connection. Felicia remains one of Spider-Man’s most reliable friends, and that’s likely to continue.
3) Wolverine

Wolverine and Spider-Man didn’t always see eye-to-eye, and they used to clash frequently. However, over time, they’ve built a deep respect for each other. While they often disagree with each other’s methods, they admire the strong dedication both have to protecting people. They may argue, but they always support each other, and when they work together, they’re an unstoppable force. Their battles against bad guys are incredibly fun to watch, mixing Spider-Man’s amazing agility with Wolverine’s fierce determination. They’re both masters of their craft, and the result is truly exciting.
2) Spider-Man (Miles Morales)

Spider-Man and Miles Morales are New York’s top crime-fighting team, and they work together seamlessly like brothers. Because they have similar powers, they understand each other’s fighting styles and strategies instinctively. Their teamwork is incredibly smooth, and their playful banter often disarms villains even more effectively than their super strength. They’re a surprisingly underrated duo and are quickly becoming one of Marvel’s strongest partnerships.
1) Daredevil

Spider-Man and Daredevil are arguably the best heroes working at the street level. When they team up, you can always expect incredible, fast-paced action combined with surprisingly powerful emotional moments. Daredevil deeply admires Spider-Man, believing him to be the greatest hero, and Spider-Man relies on Daredevil as a core part of their shared work. They both understand each other’s constant struggles, yet they consistently inspire one another to stay hopeful. They trust each other completely to protect their city when one needs to step back, and their shared dedication to New York’s streets shines through in every interaction.
