The beloved series “Spy x Family” is set to make its long-awaited return with Season 3 in October 2025, and excitement is building! Since its initial release, the show has won over numerous fans, and we can’t wait to see more of the Forger family’s adventures. To generate buzz for the third season, “Spy x Family” has launched a special Summer Vacation Event this month. Each Friday, the official anime account will share new summer-themed illustrations of Anya, dressed in various outfits. Furthermore, the account will also be posting daily content throughout the entire month. The first visual showcases Anya in a penguin-printed kimono admiring fireworks at a Summer Festival.
In the poster, Anya is playfully spraying water from her pistol upwards, producing a dazzling shower of droplets reminiscent of fireworks against the sky. To capture the carefree spirit of summer, she’s dressed in a white sundress and perched on Bond, the intelligent family pet of the Forgers. As the leading character in the series, Anya has been particularly highlighted during this thrilling venture; however, it’s a delightful twist as she’s adored by fans and provides some of the funniest lines. The forthcoming Season 3 promises to be significant for Anya, but also for the rest of the Forger family, as each member faces their unique challenges.
What to Expect From Spy x Family Season 3
Even though the main cast isn’t featured in this Summer production, they will play pivotal roles in Season 3 as hinted in the brief teaser. The trailer offers a startling peek into Loid Forger’s tumultuous childhood, which unfolded amidst the disastrous conflict between Westalis and Ostania. The series promises to explore his somber past and the events that molded him into a spy. Given his experiences with war, it’s not surprising that he yearns to prevent such calamities in the future. However, his history seems to hold deeper secrets yet to be revealed, and it’s bound to be emotionally challenging.
In the upcoming season, we’ll delve deeper into Loid’s past through the WISE Arc, a development not previously seen. Furthermore, the Red Circus and Mole Hunt storylines from the manga will be brought to life in Season 3. The Desmond family, vital to Loid’s career-defining mission, will be further explored. Despite encountering his main target, Donovan Desmond, in the first season finale, the mission has yet to advance significantly. Loid is losing hope that Anya can become an Imperial Scholar, and the Friendship Scheme remains stagnant.
Regardless of the obstacles they face, Anya subtly aids her parents without ever revealing her extraordinary talents. The first season of Spy x Family was divided into two halves, containing 25 episodes in total. In contrast, the second season only had 12 episodes. As of now, the production studio hasn’t disclosed whether Season 3 will continue with the same structure, implying that it remains unclear if it will incorporate the Term Finals Arc during its premiere on Crunchyroll.
