Spy x Family Shows Final New Look at Anya for the Summer

anticipation builds as Season 3 of Spy x Family is set to air in Fall 2025, carrying on with the tale of the Forger family, each member unaware of their real identities. The upcoming season promises significant advancements in the plot, especially involving Anya Forger. In preparation for its release, marketing efforts are ramping up, with the animation studio unveiling various new projects to keep the show relevant. As part of their summer initiatives, the studio shared fresh visuals of Anya with a new motif, which was a month-long project. Daily web content related to the anime was also made available through the official X handle of the show.

Every Friday was devoted to Anya’s summer-themed visuals, each one distinctively themed. The grand finale showcased her in a pink kimono adorned with Mr. Chimera, her beloved plush toy she had since before Loid Forger adopted her. Her hair clip, too, deviated from the ordinary, mirroring the appearance of Mr. Chimera. She was depicted setting off fireworks while a safety bucket of water stood nearby. The water in the bucket mirrored the dazzling bursts of fireworks that often illuminate skies during summer festivals, a popular Japanese cultural tradition primarily celebrated from July to August, signifying the height of the season.

What to Expect From Spy x Family Season 3

In October 2025, the next season will likely debut, though its specific release date remains undisclosed. While the summer’s main focus is on Anya, the other characters won’t be left out in the upcoming season. The second season concludes with Loid and Bond successfully completing a mission, an unexpectedly smooth conclusion. The ongoing Operation Strix has yet to yield significant progress for Loid, with only a single meeting with Donovan Desmond to show for it so far.

In the upcoming third season, it’s anticipated that the WISE Arc will conclude, delving into Loid’s sorrowful past. Previews have given us a brief look at his youth, and we can expect to uncover more details about Westalis’ top spy. Furthermore, the Friendship Schemes, Red Circus, and Mole Hunt Arcs are expected to be featured in Season 2 as well. Unlike the first season, which was divided into two segments with a total of 25 episodes, the second season contained only 12 episodes.

In other words, it hasn’t been confirmed how many episodes Season 3 will have, which means we can’t predict if the series will cover the Term Finals Arc. Each of these arcs provides fresh developments in the story as we witness gradual yet significant advancements in Operation Strix. Furthermore, a pivotal character to Loid’s mission is expected to be introduced in Season 3, who shares a direct connection with Donovan Desmond.

Diving headfirst into the world of anime, I’d be remiss not to mention that you shouldn’t miss out on the first two thrilling seasons of this amazing series!
