Now that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is confirmed for Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, the game’s new Streamlined Progression settings – previously only available in the ports for those consoles – are also coming to the PS5 version.
I’m so excited for the PS5 update coming on June 3rd, 2026! It’s going to include some cool new options – a lot of them are similar to what they added to Final Fantasy 7 Remake when it came to other platforms. But get this – they’re also letting us set the damage in the minigames to a maximum of 9,999! That’s a totally new feature and I can’t wait to try it out.
Here’s the full list of the Streamlined Progression options:
- Constant Max HP
- Constant Max MP
- Limit Gauge Always Full
- Constant Max Synergy
- ATB Gauge Always Full
- Constant Max Damage
- Max Damage: Minigames
- 2x EXP & 3x AP Gain
- Easy Weapon Ability Acquisition
- More Materials Collected
- Constant Max Gil
- Constant Max Recovery Items
- Max Materia Levels
Just wanted to let you guys know, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth got a permanent price cut yesterday! It’s now the same price as the ports – only £49.99 / $49.99 on the PS Store. A nice surprise if you’ve been waiting for a deal!
