At long last, the moment has arrived! The critically acclaimed and prize-winning show, Squid Game, makes a triumphant return for its thrilling conclusion.
After winning the Squid Games, Gi-hun walked away with a staggering 45.6 billion South Korean won at the end of season 1.
Yet, he grew fixated on halting the games permanently to alleviate the suffering inflicted upon blameless individuals. Returning to the island, he encounters a barrier in the form of The Front Man.
Season 3 unfolds following Gi-hun’s failed uprising and the tragic loss of his friend Jung-bae. Viewers witness a different aspect of Gi-hun as he finds himself disempowered and driven to the brink by The Front Man, who aims to shake Gi-hun’s belief in human kindness.
In its last season, you’ll find the same intense action filled with bloodshed, compelling narratives, and emotionally resonant storylines that hooked viewers from the start.
The last part of Squid Game series is coming out on Netflix. This means we will find out who wins the game, what happens to Gi-hun, and if there will be more seasons.
Who won the 34th Squid Game?

An unanticipated victor emerged from Squid Game, turning out to be a latecomer who entered the contest near its conclusion.
Following childbirth and a leg injury sustained while playing hide-and-seek, Player 222 found herself in a precarious situation for the ‘Jump Rope’ game, ultimately leading to her demise. Prior to her passing, Gi-hun saved her infant and pledged to safeguard them.
Following the demise of Player 222, some unsavory high-ranking individuals propose that the newborn child takes up the role as a player in the game and assumes her mother’s identity to “spice up” the games. This proposition infuriates the contestants because it lessens their share of the prize money.
In the next round of the game, the soldiers inform the last nine competitors that they must select three to be eliminated. The rest will survive and divide the winnings among themselves. Six contestants form an alliance, which includes Im Jeong-dae (Player 100) and Lee Myung-gi (333), and aim to oust Gi-hun, the baby, and Min-su (125.)
In this rephrased version, let me put it like this: The Lead Player invites Gi-hun for a private chat, during which he unmasks himself as In-ho / Player 001. Aware that the six competitors are planning to eliminate them both, he extends an escape route to Gi-hun and the infant by proposing a lifeline. He places a knife on the table and suggests that Gi-hun should silently take out the remaining contestants, allowing him to escape with the baby if he so chooses. The game, he explains, cannot proceed with just two players left.
The ultimate contest is called “Sky Squid Game”, divided into three platforms: square, triangle, and circle. A player can advance to the next platform only if at least one competitor is eliminated. The last player remaining victorious at the end of all three contests wins a portion of the prize money.
Following their alliance on the second pillar, Myung-gi deceives Gi-hun, intending to murder him before they reach the final contest. This indicates that he is prepared to take his own child’s life in order to claim the money by himself alone. After a struggle, Myung-gi is expelled from the game, leaving only Gi-Hun and Player 222 behind. But remember, one of them must perish as the contest has not yet started.
During the entire season, The Front Man aimed to drive Gi-hun to his limit, causing him to doubt his personal convictions and faith in human kindness.
222, identified as the victor, is escorted off by The Leading Man. Meanwhile, the infant is brought to Hwang In-ho’s residence with a message: ‘Player 222 – Winner.’ Accompanying this notice is a golden prepaid card holding the staggering 45.6 billion won reward for triumphing in Squid Game.
What happens to No-eul?

Season 2 begins by introducing No-eul (Park Gyu-young), a North Korean refugee who was forced to leave her child behind at the border. Struggling with financial hardships and emotional turmoil in her new life in South Korea, No-eul joins the Squid Game as a participant dressed in pink uniform.
Following the unsuccessful uprising towards the end of season 2, No-eul along with her fellow pink soldiers are assigned to neutralize dissident figures, among them being Player 246, Na-yeon’s father whom No-eul encounters at the amusement park where she used to work. Upon meeting him, she learns about his struggle with leukemia.
Rather than causing his demise, she orchestrates a ruse where he fakes his own death, eventually being concealed within a casket destined for the crematorium. In this scenario, she successfully saves Player 246 and flees the island together.
Instead, a phone call arrives for her from the captain who orders her return, warning Na-yeon in the hospital. No-eul goes back to the island on her own and faces off with the captain, forcing him at gunpoint to erase any trace of Player 246 in the control room records.
In this intense encounter with the captain, it becomes clear that he’s a defector from North Korea, which sheds light on his allegiance towards her during season 2. His motivation stems from the loss of a cherished family member who couldn’t receive a much-needed kidney transplant in North Korea, leading him to flee to South Korea where such procedures are more accessible.
Following the destruction of Player 246’s documents, she discovers some of her own files containing a photograph depicting her spouse and child. Tragically, her husband had been executed, and her daughter was no longer alive. Overwhelmed with grief, she takes a seat once occupied by The Front Man and points a gun towards her own head.
In the closing scene of the last episode, Character 246 was found sketching No-eul at the amusement park, unaware of her identity. Previously battling leukemia, Na-yeon is now thriving following a successful fundraising effort to cover her medical expenses.
She gets a call from the broker she’d employed to locate her daughter, who reports they believe they’ve found her daughter safe and sound in China. They are planning to board a plane to reunite.
Why was Cate Blanchett in the Squid Game finale?

In the finale of Squid Game season 3, there was an unexpected turn of events: In-ho traveled to Los Angeles to hand over a package to Gi-hun’s daughter on behalf of her deceased father. The package contained his Squid Game tracksuit and a golden credit card similar to the one given to Player 222, which had been given to In-ho.
Following her departure from home, The Front Man is being chauffeured through Los Angeles. After pulling over beside a narrow passageway, he lowers his window to observe two individuals engaged in a game of Ddjaki. One of these players was none other than Cate Blanchett – embodying the character Gong Yoo, who took on the role of the new recruit in the Squid Game.
As the game progresses, she casts a sly glance towards the Lead Singer, flashing him a wink that implies understanding. This hints at the possibility that In-ho has transported the games to the United States, positioning himself as the overseer of the activities.
It hasn’t been decided if Cate Blanchett will appear in any possible spin-off series, as there are no definite plans set so far. Yet, it’s clear that many of us share the excitement of imagining the Academy Award-winning actress joining the world of Squid Game!
Will there be another season?

This is the million-dollar question, or should we say the 45.6 billion won question!
Is there a chance we’ll see more episodes from Squid Game? Although the story of Gi-Hun has reached its conclusion, creator Hwang Dong-Hyuk expressed some doubts about his ability to continue, saying “I’m not certain I have the energy.” Yet, he didn’t definitively deny the idea of potential spin-offs in the future.
In the same vein, while making an appearance on Jimmy Fallon, Lee Byung-hun hinted at a possible standalone series based on Front Man, a suggestion that has left fans eagerly anticipating the possibility.
At the close of the season, it grew more apparent what a spin-off for the Front Man character might entail. In a moment of recollection, In-ho disclosed that he had previously taken part in the Squid Games himself, sharing this secret with masked Oh Il-nam, also known as Player 001 and the creator of the Squid Games.
Similarly to Gi-hun, In-ho received a knife intended for killing the other competitors while they slept. But unlike Gi-hun, In-ho carried out this action to secure victory in the games.
A possible sequel or standalone story might depict The Front Man continuing to cause chaos and devastation in Los Angeles, interspersed with scenes revealing his transformation into the masked antagonist, following his victory in the Squid Games.
Should the new spin-off take place in Los Angeles, it might add intrigue if Gi-hun’s daughter assumes a significant position within the storyline, delving into the mysterious circumstances surrounding her father’s demise and uncovering any peculiarities involved.
