STALKER 2 Getting Free Content Update With ‘Hours of Quests’

STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will receive a free update tomorrow, December 16th. The update adds a new storyline with eight quests expected to take several hours to finish. Players can also explore seven new locations, meet six new characters each with their own unique history, and find a new weapon.

The update also includes a new feature called ‘hub to create,’ though its purpose isn’t immediately clear. Best of all, it’s free for everyone who owns the game on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation.

STALKER 2’s Free Content Update is Huge

GSC Game World recently shared details on the new quests arriving in STALKER 2 with a surprise update launching tomorrow, according to a post on the PlayStation blog.

Unusual events are occurring around the Malachite area in the western part of the zone. Scientists sent research teams who reported a strange signal disrupting their communication devices. Those who listened to the signal experienced symptoms like headaches, nosebleeds, and hallucinations.

Professor Medulin saw everything happen firsthand. Though a skilled researcher, he lacked the radio expertise to understand the signal and what it meant. That’s when Banzai, a radio hobbyist, joined the investigation, but unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned.

You can often hear emergency broadcasts throughout the Zone. Be especially careful when you’re near the Red Forest on the map. From there, your instincts, good judgment, and decisions will determine how much further you go and what you discover.

So, the new update dropped, and it includes this awesome new rifle called the GP37V2. It’s basically an upgraded version of the GP37 – they added a suppressor to keep me off the radar and a scope for those long-range shots. It’s perfect for picking off enemies from a distance, which is exactly how I like to play!

The recent ‘Stories Untold’ update highlights two important areas to visit: ‘Fairy Tale Pioneer Camp’ and ‘Old Mine in Red Forest’. Players can also find a new central hub in the Burnt Forest, complete with merchants, a storage container, and a place to rest.
