Stalker 2: Heart Of Chornobyl – Chasing Ghosts Walkthrough

In the opening stages of Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl, some challenging missions may present themselves. Upon acquiring the Inductor and conversing with Strider, your journey will lead you to Azimuth Station. But beware, this path won’t be an easy one, as you’ll encounter numerous adversaries along the way.

You’ll find The Ward at Azimuth Station initially, as they are the ones you need to confront before you can locate those responsible for stealing Skif’s peculiar Artifact and Scanner. The operation we’re embarking on is dubbed “Chasing Ghosts,” and its commencement might prove a bit challenging.

Getting To The Azimuth Station

After your conversation with Strider ends, he will hand over a sniper rifle that you may find useful later. For now, your objective is to locate a key without any confrontation. Since the soldiers are already deceased, proceed to find Major Hryhorchenko and search his body for the key.

Instead of rushing directly to where the treasure lies, it’s advisable to spend some time scouring the area for additional resources. A battle can be grueling, and having extra supplies will certainly boost your chances of success.

As a keen explorer, upon retrieving the key, make your way downstairs by unlocking the door. Once you’ve passed through another door, veer left initially, for there may be valuable treasures nearby. After satisfying your looting needs, continue straight and turn right. This is where you’ll overhear the first conversation, signaling that a battle is imminent.

Before starting the battle, consider dropping a grenade first to kick things off from a distance, followed by closing in with nearby weapons to complete the fight.

Directly ahead lies a group of adversaries. Given the proximity, it would be wise to employ either your shotgun or assault rifle for this confrontation. You’ll find six enemies in this chamber, so stay vigilant, and consider executing a few stealth takedowns initially.

You have two options: a knife or a silent weapon, but since the adversaries are nearby, there’s a chance they might notice immediately. Once you’ve eliminated them all, remember to search their remains, because the conflict isn’t entirely finished yet.

Following that, turn north, make a left and right when you see an enemy ahead, swiftly defeat him. Now, take another left, and directly in front of you lies the body you’ve been searching for. Examine the body to find the Azimuth access key, secure it and proceed forward.

Instead of returning to your starting point since there are stairs directly beside the corpse, you might want to ascend those stairs, search the corpse, and proceed further up.

Giving Strider Access To Azimuth’s System

As I’ve got the key now, it’s time for me to grant Strider the clearance to continue with our mission. But remember, once we step out, Foma will be waiting, ready to take us down. He’s a tricky one, perched up high in a tower with a sniper rifle – looks like we’ve got ourselves a tough adversary ahead!

Instead of engaging him directly, consider using the sniper rifle Strider provided earlier only when you have a clear chance to take him out. If you prefer a close combat, simply charge forward and enter the building ahead.

If you’re considering a hand-to-hand combat situation, make sure to keep an eye out for potential hazards or traps in the area, they might be hidden nearby.

Hastily snatch the treasure from the left side and then head towards the opposite direction. Remember, the building is filled with hazards, so keep an eye on your surroundings and disarm any traps you come across. As you move about, you’ll spot a computer with a blue screen. Approach it cautiously and insert the key card when you get there.

As you go, you’ll spot a door on your left. Enter it, but beware, there’s another trap inside. Crouch down to disarm it first. Once disarmed, make your way up to confront Zoma. Keep in mind that when you’re ascending the stairs, you’ll take some hits, so ensure Skif’s health is at its maximum. When you finally reach Zoma, swiftly turn around and fire at him.

Here are your options: Either end his life swiftly or let him survive with injuries, both scenarios lead to his demise eventually. Then, just set up the Inductor and Strider will reach out to you.

Once all discussions are finished, don’t go downstairs yet, as there’s just one more job left before the mission wraps up. Make your way upstairs via the exterior stairs and switch on the device. This action will trigger a conversation. Upon activating the device, the mission will end, bringing you one step closer to discovering who stole your Artifact and Scanner.
