As a huge STALKER fan, I was so excited to see GSC Game World drop the ‘Stories Untold‘ update for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl yesterday! The best part? All the new stuff they added is completely free. It’s awesome to see them supporting the game and giving us even more to explore in the Zone.
Unfortunately, some issues popped up with the game, but the developers are already addressing them. They’ve just released update 1.009 (full version 1.009.000) for version 1.8.1.
As one might expect, this patch is focused solely on bug fixes.
STALKER 2’s December 18 Update Applies Version 1.8.1/1.009 Fixes

What’s new :
- Fixed an issue where a large number of bloodsuckers could spawn near the Old Mill in the Lesser Zone.
- Fixed an issue where artifacts could still be unreachable in several locations.
- Fixed a crash related to AI behavior.

NEW STORIES
We’ve added more than five hours of gameplay, depending on how you play. Uncover the source of a strange transmission that’s causing stalkers to experience headaches, nosebleeds, and even hallucinations.
As you play, you’ll have the chance to assist the stalkers and scientists in uncovering the truth. You’ll make choices that matter, fight for your principles, and search for answers along the way.
You’ll be able to receive a PDA message from almost anywhere on the map, but it’s most likely to appear near the Burnt Forest. Your choices regarding this message will impact the lives of other stalkers you encounter. This mission unlocks after you leave the Zalissya area early in the game.
The game now features an expanded storyline with 8 fresh missions, 7 new places to explore, 6 new characters to meet, and 3 special items, along with a one-of-a-kind weapon and other additions.
There are also new weapons, locations and more added as well. Don’t be surprised if another hotfix is released, and if there is one, expect it here on esXX.
