Seriously, everyone’s obsessed with who’s going to be in Avengers: Doomsday! And honestly, it’s hard to complain because the trailers look absolutely incredible – like it could be one of the best Marvel movies ever. What’s really got me excited is seeing characters like Captain America and the X-Men back in the mix, since we thought their stories were finished. The thought of Steve Rogers and Cyclops teaming up is amazing, but I hope it doesn’t overshadow everything else. Remember, Marvel has another big film coming out in 2026, and it’s shaping up to be just as epic!
Following the usual Marvel formula, the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day will introduce some new friends for Peter Parker. This time, he’ll be teaming up with the Punisher and the Hulk to fight any villains they encounter. However, not all of Peter’s problems can be solved with superpowers – especially when it comes to romance. A recent report from insider Daniel Ritchman suggests that MJ will have a new boyfriend in Brand New Day, played by Eman Esfandi, known for his role in Star Wars: Ahsoka.
Larkin Esfandi is new to the Star Wars universe, joining the franchise in 2023. He’s playing Ezra Bridger, a character fans will recognize from the animated series Star Wars Rebels. In Rebels, Ezra starts as a resourceful street kid who joins a rebel group fighting the Empire. He later discovers his connection to the Force and trains to become a Jedi. The series Ahsoka continues Ezra’s story, revealing he’s been stranded in another galaxy and needs to be rescued.
Esfandi might not have as prominent a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe right away as he does in Star Wars, but his part could definitely expand. This is especially true if fans have their way and he ends up playing a major character from Spider-Man’s history.
Eman Esfandi Could Be Playing a Very Important Marvel Character
People have been speculating about MJ’s new love interest even before rumors about Esfandi surfaced. The most common idea is that she met someone while she was away at school, and Peter can’t do anything about it because she’s forgotten him. However, fans don’t think MJ will be interested in just anyone – they believe she’ll only date someone as impressive as Harry Osborn.
If Esfandi is cast as Harry, the show Brand New Day might keep his identity a secret until the finale, potentially to build future storylines and avoid overwhelming the current one. Regardless of when his role is revealed, Esfandi is ideally suited to play Harry, because he can convincingly portray someone who exists in both morally gray areas and is capable of both good and bad deeds.
