Star Wars’ Katee Sackhoff Confirms Bo-Katan’s Future, Reveals Interesting Detail

Katee Sackhoff recently discussed what’s next for her character, Bo-Katan Kryze, in the Star Wars universe. During a fan event, the actress explained where Bo-Katan’s story currently stands after her latest appearance on screen.

Why Bo-Katan may never die in Star Wars

Katee Sackhoff, who plays Bo-Katan Kryze in Star Wars, has confirmed the character is still alive and will likely appear in future stories. Speaking at Fan Expo Vancouver on February 14th, Sackhoff stated definitively that Bo-Katan is “not dead” and “ain’t going anywhere.”

Katee Sackhoff believes her character, Bo-Katan, is likely to remain a part of the Star Wars universe for a long time. She joked that the character’s design is based on Dave Filoni’s wife, Anne Convery, meaning she has ‘job security forever.’ Sackhoff previously shared on her podcast that both the character’s name – inspired by Convery’s cat, Boogie – and appearance were modeled after Convery, not herself.

Katee Sackhoff first voiced the character Bo-Katan in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars in 2008. She continued to play the role in Star Wars Rebels and later brought Bo-Katan to life in the live-action series The Mandalorian.

Bo-Katan appeared in ten episodes of The Mandalorian, becoming a main character starting with Season 3. Most recently, she reactivated the Great Forge and started rebuilding Mandalore, leaving her story with possibilities for the future.

Since Season 4 of The Mandalorian has been put on hold until the new show, The Mandalorian & Grogu, it’s unclear when Katee Sackhoff will reprise her role. There’s a possibility Bo-Katan will appear in the second season of Ahsoka, given that both shows take place during the same time period and share connected storylines.

Katee Sackhoff described the emotional experience of first wearing the Bo-Katan armor in live-action, recalling that she and Dave Filoni both teared up when it happened.
