Since 2019’s “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”, there hasn’t been a new Star Wars movie in theaters, but that’s about to change. Starting next summer, we can expect the return of the franchise with “The Mandalorian & Grogu”. Fast forward to 2027, and Shawn Levy’s “Star Wars: Starfighter” is set to make its debut. This standalone story, which takes place a few years after “The Rise of Skywalker”, has generated quite a buzz due to its impressive cast. At this year’s Star Wars Celebration in Japan, it was confirmed that Ryan Gosling would be the lead actor. Additionally, Mia Goth and Matt Smith have also been announced as part of the cast. With filming for “Starfighter” now underway, even more notable names (including some big DC stars) are joining the project.
On the first day of filming Star Wars: Starfighter, the official website revealed an exclusive behind-the-scenes photo featuring Ryan Gosling and newcomer Flynn Gray relaxing near a speeder in a hangar set. Joining them are other fresh faces – Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, and Amy Adams – who have been announced as part of the film’s cast.
