It’s been seven years since a Star Wars film was in theaters, but The Mandalorian and Grogu – coming out May 22nd – will bring the galaxy far, far away back to the big screen. The movie continues the story from The Mandalorian‘s three seasons and The Book of Boba Fett, and features Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin and Grogu teaming up with Sigourney Weaver and other familiar Star Wars characters to fight a newly powerful Empire. While marketing is just getting started, a trailer was released last year, and a surprising Star Wars ad aired during the Super Bowl.
ComicBook is excited to share that Lucasfilm is releasing three new books that expand the Star Wars universe. One will recap everything that happened over the three seasons of The Mandalorian, and the other two will celebrate the upcoming new Star Wars film.

The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu

Like most Star Wars projects, The Mandalorian and Grogu has its own behind-the-scenes art book. These books are popular with collectors and offer a look at concept art and interviews with the artists and creators who brought the show to life. This new edition costs $50 and will be available starting November 3rd.
The official behind-the-scenes companion to The Mandalorian and Grogu
This book, The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, offers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of The Mandalorian, the hit Disney+ series that brought Star Wars back to the screen after a seven-year gap. Created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, the book follows the adventures of the beloved characters Din Djarin (The Mandalorian) and Grogu as they navigate a galaxy following the Empire’s defeat.
Across the galaxy, powerful warlords still operate independently. As the newly formed New Republic tries to safeguard the freedoms won during the Rebellion, they turn to Din Djarin, a famous Mandalorian bounty hunter, and his young companion, Grogu, for assistance.
Featuring concept art, sketches, and interviews with the people who made it, The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu offers a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the show. It explores the artwork and the stories behind the characters, settings, and vehicles. The show stars Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, and Jeremy Allen White.
