I just saw the trailer for the new season of *The Mandalorian and Grogu*, and I’m already obsessed with Rotta the Hutt! Everyone seems to be falling in love with him, and I totally get why – he’s quickly become a favorite of mine too.
What are fans saying about Rotta the Hutt?
I’m really curious about Rotta the Hutt and what part he played in The Mandalorian with Grogu! There’s not a lot of information out there, but I do know he’s Jabba the Hutt’s son. He showed up in the *Clone Wars* movie back in 2008, and Ahsoka even gave him a funny nickname – ‘Stinky’! It’s cool to see how connected everything in the Star Wars universe is.
Rotta the Hutt, who was last seen as a young Huttlet, is now an adult and involved in fights. A quick glimpse in the movie trailer shows him showing off his strength to a cheering crowd. Jeremy Allen White, known for his role in “The Bear,” will be providing the voice for Rotta, though it’s currently unknown how prominent his vocal performance will be in the film.
The new trailer for The Mandalorian brings back Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin and features Grogu (affectionately known as Baby Yoda), along with Sigourney Weaver and Johnny Coyne, exciting Star Wars fans.
A new Star Wars movie featuring The Mandalorian and Grogu is coming to theaters, marking the first since 2019’s *The Rise of Skywalker*. Currently, only one other Star Wars film has a confirmed release date: Shawn Levy’s *Starfighter*, scheduled for May 28, 2027. Starring Ryan Gosling, Aaron Pierre, Amy Adams, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Flynn Gray, and others, *Starfighter* recently began filming.
Fans can see The Mandalorian and Grogu on the big screen starting May 22, 2026. All three seasons of the show are now streaming on Disney+.
