Steam Users Have One Day Only to Get This Free Game From 2016

Steam users have just one day left to claim a free game originally released in 2016. The game is made by Nova-Box, a developer known for story-rich adventure games where your choices matter. Nova-Box recently announced their next project, After the Wane, which is planned for release in 2026. Before that, they’re offering their first game as a free download.

Until January 29th at 1:00 PM Eastern Time, you can download and keep the game Along the Edge for free on Steam. It’s an interactive graphic novel where you play as Daphné, a girl who uncovers secrets about her family that change her life. As the player, you’ll make choices that affect Daphné’s career, relationships, and how she looks throughout the game.

Daphné is starting over in the French countryside after experiencing a difficult time – she’s lost a baby, gone through a breakup, and recently learned about her family history. She soon discovers she’s the last in a long line of witches, and now she must decide whether to continue that tradition.

Free games on Steam can be hit or miss, and aren’t always worth the download, even when they’re free. However, Along the Edge is a clear exception. It currently has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam based on over 300 reviews, and has even won awards for its beautiful artwork. If you enjoy adventure games, Along the Edge is definitely worth a look.

Just a reminder that this free offer for Along the Edge won’t be available for much longer. As of right now, there’s less than 24 hours left to claim it. If you’re even slightly interested, it’s best to head to Steam and add the game to your library now, just in case you want to play it later.
