(Note: This is just an official English version of the information we covered earlier this week.)
STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is a refreshed version of the 2009 game STEINS;GATE, originally created for the Xbox 360. It features improved graphics and a brand new story alongside the original.
Okay, so the art in this game is seriously good. The character designs are by huke, and he also oversaw all the event illustrations, which is awesome. But what really got me was the backgrounds. They recreated Akihabara like it looked back in 2010, and you can tell they did a ton of research to get all the details right. It really pulls you into the world!
Character Designs
Character designer huke refined the characters’ clothing and accessories, adding small, detailed touches that really show off their individual personalities and make them feel more real.
Backgrounds
The game’s visuals use historical documents to realistically recreate Akihabara as it looked around 2010. We’ve also included brand new locations to expand the story and add more depth.
Event Stills
The movie now features updated scenes, carefully designed to match the story’s key moments and create a more powerful emotional experience. Several new scenes have also been included to help viewers feel even more involved in the story.
