MAGES. has pushed back the Japanese release of STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT from 2025 to 2026. They also showed off early looks at the game’s improved graphics, which are still being worked on. The platforms the game will be available on haven’t been revealed yet.

Character Design
The characters in STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT have been visually updated by character designer huke. They now have new outfits and accessories, all drawn with a lot of detail to make them feel more vibrant and real.
Backgrounds
The game’s backgrounds are incredibly detailed recreations of Akihabara as it looked around 2010 – they’re so realistic, they could easily be mistaken for photos. We’ve also added new locations not seen in the original STEINS;GATE to expand the story and make the world even richer.

Event Stills
The visuals have been updated with newly created scenes based on the original storyboards, making the narrative more impactful and true to the source material. We’ve also added scenes that weren’t in the original STEINS;GATE, which helps to draw viewers deeper into the experience.
