A new year means lots of exciting TV shows are coming soon, including the fourth season of The Traitors and the return of The Night Manager for a second season.
As a huge fan of compelling dramas, I was thrilled when the BBC brought back SAS Rogue Heroes earlier this year. The first season was fantastic, and I was so relieved to hear it’s been renewed for a third season – I’m already eagerly anticipating when it finally arrives!
We recently spoke with creator Steven Knight for our video interview series, The TopMob Writers’ Room, and got an update on the new season. The series explores what inspires screenwriters and how they work.
When asked about season 3, Knight confirmed that filming is currently underway in France. He added that the season is shaping up very well, but didn’t share any further details.

When asked about the potential length of the series, Knight explained that it’s hard to say for sure until it’s officially in production. However, he expressed a desire to continue the story until the end of the war.
Season three of SAS Rogue Heroes, featuring Jack O’Connell, Sofia Boutella, and Dominic West, takes place in 1944. It follows Paddy Mayne and his team as they parachute into enemy territory on a dangerous mission.
As Western Europe starts to be freed from occupation, the SAS team joins forces with the French Resistance and a group of new soldiers to overcome incredible obstacles.
I recently chatted with writer Steve Knight for The TopMob Writers’ Room, and we covered a lot of ground. He talked about his involvement with shows like Peaky Blinders and A Thousand Blows, even mentioning his work on the House of Guinness project. But the really exciting part? He hinted at what we can expect from the next James Bond film – he’s actually writing the script, and gave a few intriguing details!
