ProbablyMonsters is launching its action roguelike game, Storm Lancers, on December 9th for $19.99. It will be available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, and on Nintendo Switch 2. Switch owners who already have the game on the original Switch will get the new version as a free update. A demo will be released on all platforms on November 25th.
Storm Lancers first launched for Switch on September 12.
Players have really enjoyed Storm Lancers, so we’re excited to make the game available to a wider audience with improved graphics and gameplay. According to Mark Subotnick, head of studios at ProbablyMonsters, more people can now experience the battles in Cryptica with a smoother, more connected experience thanks to features like Nintendo GameShare and Steam Remote Play Together.
Here is an overview of the new versions, via ProbablyMonsters:
Both the Nintendo Switch 2 and PC versions of Storm Lancers will feature HDR support and run at a fluid 60 frames per second. Players on both platforms can also team up online using Nintendo GameShare and Steam Remote Play Together.
Okay, so the new Nintendo Switch 2 has this awesome feature called GameShare. Basically, I can play with my friends and family, even if they don’t own Storm Lancers! If I already own Storm Lancers on my old Switch, I get the Switch 2 version for free! And the best part? I can even transfer my save data, so I don’t have to start all over. It’s a huge win for continuing the game where I left off.
Storm Lancers is now available on PC through the Epic Games Store and Steam, bringing its challenging rogue-like gameplay and vibrant 80’s anime world to life in up to 4K resolution. On Steam, players can use the Remote Play Together feature to team up with friends and family online and explore the world of Cryptica, even if they don’t own the game. The PC version of Storm Lancers is also designed to work with the Steam Deck, letting you play on the go.
