Since its debut in 2016, Stranger Things has become a massive cultural hit. Over the past six years, the show has captivated audiences, sparked countless fan theories (like the hope that Eddie Munson might return!), and established itself as a truly iconic series. Now, with a fifth and final season on the way, viewers are eagerly anticipating what’s next and have plenty of unanswered questions.
I was so excited to see Chris from ComicBook chat with the cast on the red carpet! He asked some fun questions, even the tough one about which character should meet their end. But honestly, I was more interested in learning how they planned to watch the final season premiere. Grace Van Dien, who played Chrissy, totally nailed the relatable answer. She said she wants to see it in a theater, but she’s also a bit of a homebody and worried about crowds! She ended with a great point though – support your local theaters if you can!
So, Where Will The Rest Of The Cast Be Watching The Finale?
Priah Ferguson, known for playing Erica Sinclair, is torn about seeing a movie in theaters, saying she might prefer to stay home on the couch. Meanwhile, director Frank Darabont loves that fans consistently name The Shawshank Redemption as their all-time favorite and plans to definitely see it in the cinema. He jokingly scolded anyone considering watching it at home when it’s available on the big screen, saying they should be ashamed!
Amybeth McNulty, who plays Vickie on the show, jokingly volunteered herself to be killed off if the writers needed a character gone. She explained she couldn’t bear the thought of anyone else leaving, especially since she’s new to the cast. When asked where she’ll be watching the new season, she said she’ll be at home on the couch with friends, bracing for their reactions – she’s been keeping secrets and wants to see their honest responses in private. It’s a totally understandable plan!
It’s unclear whether Millie Bobby Brown will watch the new installment in a movie theater or at home, but she did share what souvenir she took from the set: her famous pink dress from the first season.
