Netflix has released a first look at its upcoming horror series, “Something Very Bad is Going to Happen.” The show is executive produced by the creators of “Stranger Things,” Matt and Ross Duffer.
Details about the show’s storyline are currently scarce. What we do know is that it centers around a couple about to get married who find themselves caught up in a dangerous and possibly supernatural scheme to ruin their lives.
The series was created by Haley Z. Boston, who previously wrote for popular shows like Netflix’s Brand New Cherry Flavor and Amazon’s Hunters. Weronika Tofilska, the director of Baby Reindeer, also worked on the project.
Netflix is positioning its show as similar to classic horror films like Rosemary’s Baby and Carrie, suggesting that scary and fantastical elements will become more prominent as the story progresses.
Camila Morrone, known for her role in The Night Manager, and Adam DiMarco, recently seen in The White Lotus season two, play a couple caught in a dangerous plot.

The film also features Jennifer Jason Leigh, who previously starred in Hunters, The Hateful Eight, and Atypical. In the first released photo of her character, she has a disturbing smile and appears to be wearing an engagement ring.

The show gains extra creepiness with the addition of Ted Levine, famous for playing the terrifying Buffalo Bill in The Silence of the Lambs. He appears as a looming presence in a shadowy hallway, leaving viewers to wonder if he’s an ally or an enemy.

Karla Crome (known for Toxic Town), Gus Birney (from Black Rabbit), and Jeff Wilbusch (of Unorthodox) are part of the cast for Something Very Bad is Going to Happen. Zlatko Burić, who recently appeared in Superman and Wonder Man, will also be in the show.

The creators of Stranger Things, the Duffer brothers, are facing backlash from fans over the show’s ending, which has sparked a lot of debate – similar to the controversial finale of Game of Thrones.
We hope the new release, Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, will remind people why they enjoy the band’s music.
The eight-episode first season is scheduled to drop on Netflix on Thursday 26th March 2026.
