Throughout the series, the character Tina was often referenced, but it seemed unlikely that the show would explore Erica’s friend further. Surprisingly, instead of ignoring this detail, Stranger Things had Erica unexpectedly incorporate her friend into the group’s efforts to defeat the Demogorgon.

Their Biggest Moment Shows Off The Series’ Humor
For a long time, Tina has been a background part of the story, known through her connection to Erica. But the final season of Stranger Things really focused on introducing her, and how Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin) doesn’t quite trust her. Even though Erica isn’t perfect either, seeing Tina’s role unfold was satisfying.
It was totally worth the wait to finally see the mysterious Tina, and the way it happened – chaotic and wild – was perfect. The whole scene, from Erica’s fake apology to the Turnbow family’s drugged-pie-induced collapse, and Tina’s rejection leading to Erica’s frantic actions, was a hilarious and fast-paced moment.
