As a huge Stranger Things fan, I’m already seeing everyone get hyped for the final season! It’s wild to think this is it – season five is going to wrap up the whole story. The first episodes drop on Thanksgiving, and even though it’s still a few weeks away, people are already doing full rewatches of the series. I checked the streaming charts and was shocked to see it climbing again – clearly, we’re all getting ready to say goodbye to Hawkins!
Even though it hasn’t had a new episode in over three years and the fifth season isn’t out for several more weeks, Stranger Things unexpectedly reappeared on Netflix’s Top 10 TV shows list this week. On Monday, it was ranked as the fifth most popular series on the streaming service.
With the final episodes being released in stages, Stranger Things is sure to be a popular watch throughout the holidays and into the new year. The show’s early success on the charts proves just how much anticipation there is for the series’ conclusion. Stranger Things is one of the few Netflix dramas that has truly captured the public’s imagination, and viewers have remained dedicated throughout its nearly decade-long run and five seasons.
Stranger Things Final Season Rollout
The final season of Stranger Things, season 5, will be released in three parts over approximately six weeks. The first four episodes will become available on November 26th.
The next three episodes will be available on Christmas Day, December 25th. The series will conclude with a final episode released on New Year’s Eve. All three parts will premiere at 5pm Pacific Time on their respective release dates, which is a more traditional release approach for Netflix.
In addition to streaming on Netflix, the final season of Stranger Things will also be shown in movie theaters. Netflix has announced that the last episode will be released in select cinemas across the US on December 31st and January 1st, giving fans a chance to experience the series finale on the big screen. The specific theaters showing the finale haven’t been announced yet.
