Get ready! The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is coming soon, and it promises to finally reveal the answers to all the show’s biggest mysteries after nearly ten years.
The popular Netflix science fiction series will conclude this winter, and the creators, the Duffer Brothers, have recently shared some hints about the final season.
I’m absolutely thrilled! They’ve finally promised to reveal the mystery that’s been haunting me – what exactly *is* the Upside Down? It’s the question I’ve been waiting for them to address, and I can’t wait to find out the truth!
Ross Duffer recently told Variety that figuring out the answer to a big question was a priority when they started planning season 5. He explained they’d discussed it every season, but always decided to wait. Ultimately, they realized they couldn’t delay any longer.

After experiencing disappointing endings to shows they enjoyed, the creators seem focused on giving fans a satisfying conclusion. They’ve made sure to tie up all loose ends, addressing everything from the Demogorgon and Mind Flayer to Vecna, the Upside Down, and the characters of Hawkins. As Matt Duffer stated, this is a complete story – it’s finished.
From the beginning, ever since Will Byers (played by Noah Schnapp) disappeared into a creepy alternate reality, fans have been wondering exactly what the Upside Down is.
Fans have come up with lots of ideas about what the Upside Down really is – some think it’s another world entirely, while others believe it represents sadness, trauma, or even a kind of waiting place. Whatever the answer, now’s the time to share your own thoughts!
After a lot of guessing, the Duffer Brothers revealed how long each episode will be, with the final episode lasting around two hours.
The season will be released in three parts. The first episodes will be available in November, followed by the second and third sets in December.
With season five almost here, I’m already getting excited for a seriously spooky – and maybe a little festive – Christmas in the Upside Down! I can’t wait!
