As Stranger Things wraps up after five seasons, fans will finally get answers to some of their biggest questions. Since the show first appeared on Netflix in 2016, viewers have been wondering about the mystery of the Upside Down, and Season 5 will reveal exactly what it is.
I’ve been fascinated by *Stranger Things* since the beginning, and I recently learned something really interesting from Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators. They shared that before finishing the show, they knew they absolutely *had* to reveal the true nature of the Upside Down. Apparently, as they started planning Season 5, figuring out *what* the Upside Down actually was was their very first priority – it was at the forefront of everything they were doing!
We kept putting off a difficult conversation, delaying it season after season. Eventually, we realized we could no longer avoid it and had to address the issue.
Stranger Things Writer Teases the Fate of Beloved Characters
As a huge *Stranger Things* fan, I’m dying to know what happens to Eleven, Joyce Byers, and everyone else! I keep wondering which relationships will make it through, and who might not survive. Apparently, according to one of the writers, anything is possible – they’re really keeping us guessing!
Writer Paul Dichter explained that initially, all possibilities were considered. He described having a whiteboard covered with character names, meaning any character could have lived, died, or formed a relationship with any other character.
The team behind *Stranger Things* is facing huge expectations after renewing their contract with Paramount. Recent disappointing finales of popular shows like *Game of Thrones* and *Lost* have raised the stakes, and fans are hoping for a satisfying conclusion. Adding to the challenge, *Stranger Things* has a very large cast – 21 main actors – meaning the final season needs to effectively wrap up many different storylines.
When does Season 5 of Stranger Things Come Out?
Netflix is continuing its strategy of releasing shows in multiple parts. The fifth and final season of *Stranger Things* is coming after a three-year wait since Season 4. Season 4 will have eight episodes, released in three installments. The first four episodes will be available starting November 26th, around Thanksgiving. Three more episodes will come out on Christmas Day, December 25th, and the final two episodes will be released on New Year’s Eve, December 31st.
