Capcom has unveiled the gameplay trailer, fresh details, and snapshots for the upcoming Street Fighter 6 character, Sagat. You can download him starting from August 5.

In Street Fighter 6, both seasoned players and novices can look forward to dominating as the formidable Sagat, who boasts a fighting style influenced by Muay Thai, complete with uppercuts, knees, and an unexpected touch – fireballs! Sagat’s reign will also introduce a fresh stage called Proud Spire, which showcases a tranquil temple and a serene Buddha statue in the backdrop.
Sagat’s attire consists of two designs: Design 1 is a modern take on his style, influenced by Muay Thai, while Design 2 pays homage to his look from Street Fighter II, complete with traditional Muay Thai shorts and wraps around his hands and feet. You can obtain Design 2 either by strengthening your relationship with Sagat in the World Tour or by using Fighter Coins for a purchase.
The Year 3 Ultimate Pass and Year 3 Character Pass are now up for grabs, offering immediate access to Sagat, along with the three additional characters from Year 3 – C. Viper, Alex, and Ingrid, as well as new outfit colors and Drive Tickets. You can purchase these passes on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, while pre-orders are currently available for Nintendo Switch. The content will become accessible starting from August 5, 2025, when Sagat is released.
In the newly released trailer, it’s clear that Sagat’s fighting style primarily involves powerful, bone-crushing strikes. This is made possible by his large physique, which also grants him considerable reach for strong kicks. Some of his key moves are highlighted in the trailer.
- High Tiger Shot – Fire a ki blast forward to hit standing opponents, with the blast fired at different speeds depending on the button being pressed.
- Low Tiger Shot – Fire a ki blast forward that can hit crouching opponents. Use both fireballs to keep opponents guessing!
- Tiger Uppercut – A powerful anti-air attack which the heavy version can be held down to send opponents flying.
- Tiger Knee Crush – Leap forward and catch opponents off guard with a powerful knee attack.
- Tiger Nexus – A brand new special move where Sagat strikes with his knee and can then be followed up with three different kicks—Mighty Tiger, Greedy Tiger, or Nova Tiger.
- Tiger Cannon – Sagat’s Level 1 Super Art, where he fires a mighty Tiger Shot.
- Savage Tiger – Sagat’s Level 2 Super Art, where after Sagat leaps forward, this Super Art can be followed up with four moves.
- Savage Tiger Raid – The highest damage of all the options.
- Savage Tiger Zenith – Launches the opponent in the air and can be followed up with more attacks.
- Savage Tiger Pendulum – Allows Sagat to switch places with his opponent.
- Savage Tiger Stomp – Leaves Sagat close to the enemy, allowing for better “oki.”
- Tiger Vanquisher – Sagat’s Level 3 Super Art unleashes all of his power in a series of devastating kicks and a beastly uppercut.
