A unique and unusual character from the Street Fighter series, Ingrid, is coming to Street Fighter 6 as a playable fighter this late spring. She’s part of the Year 3 Character Pass, which adds new characters to the game.
The latest trailer introduces this character with a surprising encounter: she appears before the player and dramatically breaks their surroundings, though why she does it is still unknown. She’s historically been a fighter who excels at close and mid-range combat, with strong abilities to punish opponents’ attacks, a variety of unpredictable moves, and the power to control space and create damaging combos. It will be fascinating to see how these abilities are used in the game.
We’re not sure why she’s involved in the game, but it’s obvious she has a connection to the player—beyond just being a new Master in World Tour. What that connection means is a mystery, and we’re eager to learn more.
She’s joining Alex, who started last month, and is expected to add some exciting new gameplay elements. This will be her first time appearing in a major game in the series.
