Enthusiasts eagerly anticipating the Street Fighter 6 Outfit 4 collection will be thrilled to know that it’s being released today. Capcom is introducing a series of swimsuit-inspired costumes for characters like Cammy, Chun-Li, and more, which align perfectly with the remaining summer atmosphere in this summer’s finale of their popular fighting game.
Today, August 5, 2025, marks the simultaneous release of The Outfit 4 lineup and the introduction of Sagat, the initial character from the Year 3 Pass. Earlier, Capcom shared preliminary sketches hinting at revealing outfits for several popular characters in their roster. However, those were merely concepts; nothing compares to witnessing the full execution of the plan. Now, we present the complete unveiling, and you can catch a glimpse of it in the trailer below: a visual feast that’s bound to set the gaming world ablaze!
The artwork previously unveiled reveals some of the most eye-catching and revealing outfits ever featured in this series. These costumes are worn by characters A.K.I., Cammy, Chun-Li, Jamie, Kimberly, Luke, and Manon, totaling seven swimsuit skins in all. I must admit these outfits look really cool, especially the one designed for Chun-Li, which combines her classic colors with a chic one-piece and an adorable hairstyle. Cammy’s outfit is quite bold, and I have no doubt it will be a hit among fans due to certain distinctive features.
However, there seems to be an imbalance in the selection of characters. While I’m glad that some male characters are included, I can’t help but feel that Ryu and Ken should have been part of the lineup as well. They were quite popular when the game was first released, and their absence leaves a slight imbalance in the presentation.
I understand that new costumes take time to develop, but I hope we will see more outfits like these in the future. This particular set has been in development since December 2023, so fans have had quite a wait. Nevertheless, I believe most players will be satisfied with how Capcom is evolving these costumes.
It’s intriguing to note that multiple companies are adopting similar strategies when it comes to cosmetics. NetEase Games recently introduced swimsuit skins in Marvel Rivals, and they were well-received by the players. This isn’t meant as criticism, but rather an observation of the current trends in the gaming industry.
C. Viper is next up for the Year 3 additions
Capcom recently unveiled a sneak peek of the upcoming character, C. Viper, who’s scheduled to join the game roster later this year, around Autumn. The exact release date isn’t confirmed yet, but she’s part of the Year 3 Character Pass, similar to Sagat. You can watch her debut trailer above.
Since we don’t have details on her moveset just yet, fans will need to guess about any changes or continuities from her Street Fighter 4 appearance. After C. Viper, characters Alex and Ingrid are lined up for the Year 3 additions, but you’ll have to wait until early 2026 to play with either of them.
Street Fighter 6 is currently accessible on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch 2.
