Strictly Come Dancing 2025 winner “really wants” to go on Celebrity Traitors for a special reunion

Last year, Carlos Gu and Karen Carney won the Glitterball trophy on the show, but the finale also represented the last time Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly hosted together as a duo.

Winkleman quickly returned to television after her previous projects, first with the fourth season of The Traitors earlier this year. She’ll soon be hosting her own chat show in the spring, followed by a second season of The Celebrity Traitors.

The BBC is reportedly starting to choose contestants for the next season of Strictly Come Dancing, and one of last year’s winners has expressed strong interest in returning to film at Ardross Castle with host Claudia Winkleman.

Carlos Gu revealed at the TopMob Covers Party 2026 that he’s a big fan of The Traitors and would love to be on the show. He’s even had some practice, as the cast often plays a similar game during the Strictly Come Dancing tour.

Lots of speculation is swirling about which famous faces – including singers and comedians – might be filming in the Scottish Highlands this year, but the BBC isn’t revealing any names just yet.

Several well-known personalities are being talked about as potential participants, including Danny Dyer, Alison Hammond, Daisy May Cooper, Ruth Jones, and Tom Hiddleston.

Cheryl Tweedy is apparently considering a return for another season, even though she’s been keeping a low profile lately. According to a source, she’s cautiously exploring the possibility of coming back.

Carlos is eager to see Winkleman back at The Traitors castle, but he also realizes this year’s Strictly Come Dancing will be quite different, with new hosts replacing Tess and Claudia.

As a longtime viewer, I have to say Claudia and Tess were Strictly, they really built that show into what it is today. It’s going to feel different without them, of course, but I’m confident the show will be alright. Honestly, the whole cast, myself included, is buzzing with anticipation to see who they choose as the new hosts. It’s definitely an exciting time for Strictly!
