Strictly Come Dancing champions Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell will perform one last time in the exciting launch show this weekend.
This Saturday at 6:40pm, viewers can once again enjoy the award-winning waltz performed by the duo, this time on BBC One and iPlayer. They’ll be dancing to the song ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.
Chris and Dianne won last year’s Strictly Come Dancing competition. The comedian was stunned by the victory, saying he genuinely believed he might be eliminated in the very first week, even though that rarely happens.
“But we just lasted and lasted.”
Their waltz was the performance that really established them as the favorites to win, and it even earned them the Memorable Moment Award at the 2025 BAFTA TV Awards.
Dianne explained that the song was deeply meaningful to Chris as it was Liverpool’s anthem, and knowing his passion for ballroom dancing, she felt compelled to create a truly special dance routine for him. She shared this while accepting the award.

The first episode will finally show which celebrities are partnered with the professional dancers, and we’ll see their first meeting!
But there’s more! The very first episode will include group dance numbers performed by the show’s professional dancers, all fifteen celebrity contestants, and even the judges themselves!
Plus, Jessie J will be performing, and viewers can expect all the classic, beloved moments that make Strictly so special.
This season of Strictly Come Dancing features a diverse cast from across the entertainment world, including actress Alex Kingston, EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal, and Olympic sprinter Harry Aikines-Aryeetey. They’ll all be competing for the coveted glitterball trophy in what promises to be a memorable series.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday 20th September at 6:40pm.
