Strictly Come Dancing’s Claudia says “we all fell in love” with Alex Kingston’s husband after emotional interview

Claudia Winkleman, the host of Strictly Come Dancing, offered kind words to Alex Kingston’s husband during the live show, after a heartfelt video package featuring him was shown.

Okay, so last night – November 22nd – the show went live from the famous Tower Ballroom in Blackpool, and let me tell you, it was a night! I was really excited to see JoJo (Joanne Whalley) dance – you might know her from ‘ER’ or even ‘Doctor Who’ – and she absolutely killed it doing a couples choice routine with Johannes Radebe. They danced to a mashup of Propellerheads’ ‘History Repeating’ and ‘Look At Me’, and it was a total vibe!

Before her performance, Kingston shared how much she appreciates her husband, Jonathan Stamp. She described him as an amazing person who truly understands her, explaining that he often writes her poetry and even memorizes poems just to recite them to her.

Television producer Stamp said in the VT: “I’m insanely proud of her.”

Last month, Kingston shared that she was recently diagnosed with and has recovered from uterine cancer. Her treatment involved a hysterectomy and radiation therapy, which she finished at the end of last year.

“Coming off the back of that, getting the all clear, I decided I would do Strictly,” she added.

After Kingston’s performance, which the judges scored a 35, Claudia mentioned a touching moment from her interview. She said the audience, and the judges, were charmed by Kingston’s husband who was watching from the crowd.

During tonight’s episode of Strictly, viewers learned that La Voix has unfortunately had to leave the show because of an injury.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star had already announced they wouldn’t be able to compete this weekend due to health reasons.

During tonight’s live show, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman shared the news that a contestant has had to leave the competition due to medical reasons.

Tess announced to the audience that La Voix unfortunately injured herself and won’t be able to dance tonight in Blackpool.

She added that, after consulting with their medical team, they unfortunately had to withdraw her from the competition.

The hosts announced that no one would be eliminated this week, so there wouldn’t be a dance-off.

Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow night on BBC One and iPlayer.
