Strictly’s Nikita Kuzmin reveals secret “mission” amid Claudia and Tess’s exit

As a huge Strictly fan, it’s honestly a bit heartbreaking to think this weekend is Tess and Claudia’s last live show together! It feels like an end of an era, and I’m going to miss seeing them sparkle every week.

The two hosts revealed in October that they would be leaving the show, and the Christmas special this year will be their final appearance.

The couple announced on social media that they had always planned to leave together and felt the time was right to do so.

I’m so excited for the rest of this incredible series! And I just want to say a huge thank you to the BBC and everyone who works on the show – they’re an absolutely brilliant team, and honestly, we’re all going to miss them so much every single day.

As the season ends, the creative team has helped shape the performances of all the Strictly Come Dancing contestants and professional dancers. Nikita Kuzmin plans a special finale for his partnered duo to make it a night to remember.

It’s hard to predict what Kuzmin will do next, but this weekend is sure to be filled with emotion – not just for those who win, but also for Tess and Claudia.

While on the show ‘It Takes Two,’ host Fleur East asked the couple if leaving had truly felt real. Daly responded simply, “Not yet.”

I honestly haven’t had a chance to consider it. We’ve been completely engrossed in this show – it’s so good that it’s been our main focus lately.

“So I think it’ll be a bit of a shock on the 20th. I might get emotional.”

Winkleman said she expects the event to be touching, but emphasized that the focus will be on celebrating the achievements of those who win, not on the presenters themselves.

The professionals will likely have strong opinions since they’ve had more time to observe, but even Alexis Warr, who’s had a similar amount of time with them as we have, has noticed how welcoming and supportive they are towards us.

It feels like we’ve known them for a while now – more than the 13 weeks it’s been. They really seem to care about everyone involved, and it’s clear why they’ve been so successful on Strictly for so many years. It’s a real honor to be part of the show.

Strictly Come Dancing concludes on Saturday 20th December at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
