The team behind Subnautica 2 has announced that you can now pre-order and download the game in preparation for early access, which begins on May 14th. This means you won’t have to wait any longer to start playing!
Honestly, with over 5 million wishlists already, it’s a smart move to let us play as soon as possible! The new trailer looked amazing – it’s clearly still got that same magic as the first game, but with enough fresh stuff to make it feel like a proper sequel. I’m super hyped to finally jump in!
In Subnautica 2, you’ll explore a new alien planet after a crash landing, searching for a way forward. The situation is incredibly urgent and the risks are significant.
We’re excited and hopeful about the game, and we’re glad we’ll be ready to play as soon as early access begins. We’re looking forward to experiencing it with everyone else, but we’ll reserve full enthusiasm until we’ve had a chance to play.
Please be aware that Subnautica 2 will be in early access for a minimum of two years, and potentially longer, based on what players think. However, it will have significantly more content available at launch than previous early access versions of our games.
