Sky has unveiled the initial trailer for ‘The Miniature Wife,’ a new comedy-drama series featuring Matthew Macfadyen, known for his roles in ‘Succession’ and ‘Pride & Prejudice’.
The series, inspired by a short story from Manuel Gonzales, centers on a married couple facing an unusual dilemma: Les (played by Macfadyen) unintentionally shrinks his wife due to a technological accident.
The new show features Elizabeth Banks, known from The Hunger Games, as Lindy, and explores how a couple’s relationship is affected when a technological mishap reveals hidden dynamics and creates a major crisis, as described in the show’s official summary.
The latest trailer reveals the events leading up to the accident, showing Les (MacFadyen) creating groundbreaking technology he believes will earn him a Nobel Prize.
He explains in the video that he’s developing a groundbreaking bio-agritech solution, which he refers to as ‘the miracle of miniaturisation’.
However, he didn’t anticipate that his experiment would shrink his wife, who accidentally interfered with it and became a victim of its effects.
She sighed, feeling overwhelmed by the sheer size of her home. “This is my life now, I guess,” she murmured, as she even had to resort to using a bow and arrow to swat at a fly.
