Gavin Casalegno is learning from Jeremiah Fisher’s mistakes.
Prior to the release of the third season, set to debut on Amazon Prime Video on July 16th, of the Jenny Han-penned series “The Summer I Turned Pretty”, Gavin shared the relationship guidance he’s gleaned from portraying his character’s love triangle with his onscreen brother Conrad Fisher (Christopher Briney) and longtime family friend Belly Conklin (Lola Tung).
In an exclusive chat with TopMob News, Gavin shared the key takeaway from the series: the importance of communication. Each character, he believes, will delve deeper into their ability to communicate effectively, which we can expect to witness more in the upcoming season.
However, although Jeremiah has been accustomed to dramatics and romance, this 25-year-old, who recently married Cheyanne Casalegno in a beautiful outdoor wedding, wishes to approach his own love life in a distinct manner.
Effective communication appears to be crucial in any relationship,” he clarified. “As you might have noticed in the series, when one party fails to disclose something, it can sometimes create an awkward situation.
In her viewpoint, Lola, aged 22, believed that the struggles faced by the characters stemmed from issues far beyond mere miscommunication.
Instead of just talking, they often seem to make assumptions or jump straight to conclusions, according to her. Listening is even more crucial in their interactions.
She went on to say, “I tend to move swiftly in such situations because I can be headstrong and think, ‘That’s what you intended,’ but a more beneficial approach is to extend patience, listen attentively, and refrain from making hasty assumptions.
Four years since embarking on their journey together as Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah, there’s speculation about where their characters might end up once the show concludes. Although they can’t predict the exact outcome, they are optimistic that Cousins Beach will continue to thrive in the years to come.
Gavin expressed his hope that Jeremiah would seize opportunities boldly, truly express himself, and embark on a journey of self-discovery to uncover his true identity.
As for Chris, I mused that he might just soar as an astronaut in the vastness of space. Regarding Belly, I felt confident predicting that she would remain authentic to herself and carve out her unique journey.
Oh, I can only imagine her out there, exploring the globe and pursuing her passions! And let me add, with a chuckle, perhaps even venturing beyond it – in the great expanse of space!
Before the start of season three of “The Summer I Turned Pretty“, let’s delve deeper into the cast members’ actual romantic relationships. Keep on reading!
Discover for yourself that no love is more profound than self-love – this lesson has been beautifully illustrated by the main character in “The Summer I Turned Pretty”! Though Lola finds herself unattached, her experiences portraying Belly have taught her valuable insights about both love and life.
She shared with Seventeen that one thing she learned is to be a bit gentler with herself, as she believes it’s especially challenging for a young girl to not be overly critical. She herself is quite self-critical, but she recognizes that the character is going through a lot and making mistakes, which is normal. We all make mistakes, they help us learn and are a natural part of growing up.
She commented, “I’ve made an effort to alleviate some stress, stay mindful, and savor moments as they happen.
Who is Conrad’s real-life sun? Isabel Machado.
Christopher and the multi-talented individual (actress and singer) started dating in 2021, following their graduation from Pace University. To celebrate their first anniversary of shared feelings in May 2023, Isabel posted a picture of the two lovebirds locking lips by a lake, accompanied by the caption, “Happy to be kissing you now.
On their first anniversary, Christopher marked the special day by posting a touching tribute on social media, accompanied by a picture and video of them both. He wrote in the caption, “A whole year!?” expressing his astonishment, followed by, “I could never wish for anything more.
In the year 2024, I, Gavin – the on-screen sibling to Conrad portrayed by Jeremiah – exchanged marriage vows with my beloved Cheyanne Casalegno, in a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony held in November.
He shared with Page Six in April 2025, “Many often claim that the first year of marriage is the most challenging. However, collaborating on Kai Lo and our shared creative endeavors has not only made this journey pleasurable but also helped us align creatively.
He went on saying, ‘We’ve been having a fantastic time!’ You shouldn’t overthink things or else the fun disappears. That’s why we’ve been focusing on having a good time and making the best out of this situation.
The actor known for playing Cam in TSITP (The Flight Attendant) has decided to keep his romantic life private, having had some experiences with online dating. He jokingly shared his Tinder bio as, “Wait, this isn’t cool math games?”, telling PopSugar. “I thought it was amusing. I find dating apps unsettling.
Prior to Rachel’s wedding to the Emmy-nominated composer, Jeremy Turner, there was an unusual online deception suggesting that she was already secretly married and had two kids, which was not true.
In response to the rumor, which was widely spread about her character on the TV show “Clueless” (not the movie), Susannah (the actress who plays Conrad and Jeremiah’s mom) stated that it became so severe that she lost a job due to it. She expressed this concern to ABC News in 2014, stating, “I believe I have an online stalker who started this and won’t remove it. I keep having it removed and he keeps reposting it. It’s quite frustrating.
As for my personal life, I’ve been rather reserved about it, but my bond with my fellow cast members is unwavering. When it comes to Chris and Gavin, I can’t help but express how much they mean to me – they have become two of the dearest friends I’ve made in the past year. And let me tell you, I’m incredibly grateful for that friendship. I shared this sentiment with Seventeen magazine.
He went on to say, ‘We share a lot, you see. The three of us are quite a handful. I adore them, and when Gavin is in New York, we always make time to be together.’
In addition to her performances in the shows Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 (where she portrays Belly and Steven’s mom Laurel), it is known that Jackie is married to Louis Ozawa, a well-known actor from Hunters. They have two children together, but they often refer to their dog Atticus as if he were their firstborn child.
Minnie, the actress who plays Shayla, has developed an exceptional friendship with her fellow cast members that resembles a connection destined to endure through the years, similar to what was expressed by a wise young romantic: “Friendships can outlive any boy or girl.
Despite being absent in Susannah’s life, it is worth noting that Tom has had a significant history with Jenni Gallagher, as they have been married since 1997. During those summers, he has spent a considerable amount of time with her. They are proud parents of two children together.
The actress had an eventful summer, starring in three TV series and the dramedy “Emergency” in 2022. At present, it seems that Summer’s character, Nicole, isn’t romantically involved with anyone on the show.
Colin, who plays Belly and Steven’s dad John, shares a son with Lindsay Thompson.
Despite being very active on social media, the actress who portrays Taylor, Belly’s best friend, prefers to keep her personal life, particularly her romantic relationships, private. She often uses her Instagram account to post photos of friends, such as her fellow cast members.
