Super Bowl LX: Every Trailer & TV Spot Confirmed

Super Bowl LX is almost here! On February 8, 2026, the Seattle Seahawks will play the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The halftime show will feature Bad Bunny, who recently won a Grammy. Because so many people watch the Super Bowl worldwide, it’s a huge chance for movie studios to reach a large audience. Big trailers for films like Independence Day, Transformers, and several Marvel movies have premiered during the Super Bowl with great success.

Movie studios aren’t prioritizing Super Bowl ads as much as they used to. Now, they can easily share trailers online without the huge expense of a Super Bowl spot. Warner Bros. won’t be advertising at all this year, meaning you won’t see trailers for Mortal Kombat II or Supergirl during the game. However, Supergirl will still get some attention at the Puppy Bowl, just like Superman will in 2025. Avengers: Doomsday and Spider-Man: Brand New Day also won’t have Super Bowl trailers, and neither will Netflix or Amazon MGM. Despite this, plenty of other big movies are still planned to be advertised before and during the game, and we’re looking forward to seeing those trailers this Sunday.

‘Michael’

Michael Jackson’s iconic 1993 Super Bowl halftime show helped make the halftime performance a major event in itself. That’s why it’s a smart move for Lionsgate to debut the trailer for Michael, the upcoming movie about the singer, during Super Bowl LVI. While the trailer is already available online, the 30-second version is expected to generate a huge buzz from viewers watching the game. Michael will be released in theaters on April 24, 2026, and could be a big start to the summer movie season.

‘Scream 7’

The latest Scream movie, Scream VI, benefited from a high-profile Super Bowl ad during LVII, which helped it earn a franchise-record $44 million on its opening weekend. Now, Paramount Pictures is hoping to repeat that success with Scream 7 by airing a trailer during Super Bowl LIX. This push for broad appeal comes after the firing of actress Melissa Barrera – due to her public support of Palestine – caused some backlash from dedicated fans. The trailer is now available online, and Paramount hopes the Super Bowl spot will generate excitement before the film releases on February 27th.

‘Minions 3’

Illumination’s Minions

Everyone’s eager to see the trailer for Minions 3, especially since trailers for Scream 7 and Michael are already out. Traditionally, Illumination releases trailers for Despicable Me and Minions movies during the Super Bowl. With Super Bowl LX airing on NBC and Peacock this year, it’s highly likely Universal Pictures will showcase their biggest franchise. Although Minions 3 isn’t in theaters until July 1, 2026, details about the movie are scarce. This trailer will be the first glimpse audiences get, so it’s expected to be attention-grabbing.

‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’

Universal Pictures

Fans can also expect a trailer for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie during the Super Bowl. The previous Super Mario Bros. Movie had a memorable Super Bowl ad that cleverly presented Mario and Luigi’s plumbing business as if it were a real ad within the movie’s universe, and even included the theme song from the classic Super Mario Bros. Super Show. It’s currently unknown whether the new movie will follow suit with a similar creative ad, or if a more traditional trailer showcasing new characters like Yoshi, Rosalina, and Bowser Jr. will be released. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is scheduled to hit theaters on April 1, 2026.

‘Disclosure Day’

Universal Pictures

Universal Pictures is planning a big presence at the Super Bowl, not just with animation. They have two major live-action movies coming out this summer, directed by acclaimed filmmakers. While Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey likely won’t be featured, Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day is a strong contender. Universal aims to recreate the marketing magic of classics like Jurassic Park and War of the Worlds by keeping most of Disclosure Day’s plot under wraps. They previously debuted a clip from War of the Worlds during Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005. A Super Bowl spot proved hugely successful for the alien invasion film Independence Day, and is often considered the best movie ad ever aired during the game. Universal hopes that the intriguing concept of Disclosure Day combined with Spielberg’s reputation will capture viewers’ attention and turn it into a major summer hit.

‘Hoppers’

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

Disney usually airs two or three commercials during the Super Bowl. This year, with no ads planned for the new Avengers movie and Sony handling Spider-Man, Disney is focusing on promoting Pixar and Star Wars. Their first big push will be for Hoppers, a brand-new Pixar film coming to theaters on March 6, 2026. The film has already received excellent reviews, and Disney is hoping a trailer during the Super Bowl will generate buzz and lead to a stronger opening weekend than previous original films like Elemental and Elio.

‘Toy Story 5’

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

Pixar has two movies planned for 2026: an original film called Hoppers, and Toy Story 5 as a major summer release. Both Toy Story 4 and Inside Out 2 were previewed with commercials during the Super Bowl and went on to earn over $1 billion worldwide. While Toy Story 5 doesn’t necessarily need a Super Bowl ad, a glimpse of Woody and Buzz Lightyear on TV would likely capture viewers’ attention. Toy Story 5 is scheduled to hit theaters on June 19, 2026, and early reports suggest it’s shaping up to be excellent.

‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’

Walt Disney Pictures

The Mandalorian & Grogu marks Star Wars’ return to the big screen after seven years, following The Rise of Skywalker. While the initial teaser didn’t excite many fans, Disney is hoping a new trailer during the Super Bowl will change opinions before the film’s Memorial Day weekend release. Disney previously used the Super Bowl to promote Solo: A Star Wars Story, which unfortunately flopped at the box office and led to a focus on Star Wars series on Disney+. Now, the franchise is trying to get back to making theatrical films, and hopefully, this time won’t repeat the past.
